Before going forward. Check out our ultimate outreach system guide to get updates on the new outreach trends. Plus learn to create the system that will help you reach your targets.
Hello ladies, gents, cartoon animals, and others.
Today we are starting with a new “series” - WiFi money-making. Something you should start building ASAP along with your 9-5 journey. Going forward plan is to do a complete breakdown of how can you start making that WiFi money with cold emails and other methods of outreach.
Until then the article below should serve as a starting point:
Importance of building your WiFi income?
If you manage to master making money over the Internet. You will experience REAL freedom.
In case you are looking for easy WiFi money you will be disappointed. Also, your favorite cold email guru lied to you that it’s clicking ten buttons and printing cash.
It’s not.
Why Cold Emails?
Playing hard mode here as we doing all of this as anon. On the other hand, do you think our VP would be happy if he found out how we are sending out cold emails for WiFi money?
Doubt it.
Exactly that’s what is great about cold emails.
Still, one of those routes you could take if you decided to go anon. In case you don’t have anyone holding you down, even better because you will be able to show your face. How does that change anything? It’s psychological, but people will trust you more.
Meaning it will be even easier for you to find your clients and build social proof.
Good thing when it comes to cold emails as a type of WiFi money-making?
Let’s be honest. Most cold emails suck and advice (At least what you will find on Twitter) is straight-up garbage. Everyone is playing the 2020 game, while we are in 2023.
It’s not as simple as it used to be buying 30 domains and blasting everyone.
Meaning that this is the perfect opportunity for you to shine.
We know quite a few guys pulling 1-2k USD per month with cold emails. Which is a great introduction to the whole cold outreach game. The best part is they are doing cold emails as a side gig. All of that while not living in the USA. You would be surprised how far you can get living in a third-world country with an extra 1- 2k USD per month + 9-5 income. In case you are in the States the same story applies.
Why would you not be one of those who are printing on the side?
Cold Email Tech Stack 2023
What do I need to start with cold emails?
Stupid to start immediately with the tech stack article. Instead of some mindset trick, you will need to succeed. Maybe down the road. Since you will be doing cold email aside we can’t expect you to have tools such as Zoominfo at your disposal. Well if you are smart enough and already in the industry, you will "borrow" leads from it.
Not legal advice.
So the goal here is to provide you with the best tech solutions possible money and value-wise. Take into consideration that the solution below depends also on the “niche”. The niche you are going to be sticking with will determine what software you have to use.
It’s not the same software to scrape e-commerce owners and startups.
The tech stack we would be using here is based on someone offering a “lead generation” (cold email) type of service. They will be sending cold emails to other B2B companies based on PPA (pay per appointment) or any other business model you or they prefer.
To dumb it down even further the process would look like this:
You start your “cold email offer”
You find Company A that is interested in the service your “company” provides (lead generation in this case)
You came to a mutual agreement to work with Company A
Now what you will be doing is the outreach for company A “in their name”
You are acting as an SDR for their offer or service
Once you find someone interested in company A offer you set up a meeting with them
Company A pays you based on the agreement you have with them (PPA - PPC or retainer )
Tech stack elements
Sending software
Smartlead.ai - Best solution currently out there for someone who is doing cold email as a side gig. Great price and great developers behind that are pushing out updates constantly.
Database/Scrape
The two most common ones.
Apollo.io - Not much to say here. When you take into consideration money and value, it’s one of the best solutions out there when it comes to scraping leads.
Recently we have heard individuals complaining about issues related to the quality of Leads. Your best bet would be to recreate the Apollo account since it’s the only way to force your account to get updates. Stupid but that’s how it works.
LinkedIn Sales Navigator - Amazing tool. Not cheap, but worth it. You should already know that everyone has a LinkedIn profile and so should you.
Using Sales Nav you will get access to everyone relevant to your offer - depending on the niche. In case you are doing local, e-commerce, or influencer we would Sales Navigator and look for something else, as mentioned in the article below.
Enrichment of leads
Findymail - something you will have to mix with Apollo and Sales Nav to get the most optimal results. Saving you from all that exporting work you will have to do. Cleaning lead names from all bs you will find in prospect names- like emojis + auto export function is a must.
Cleaning/Verifying Leads
In case you are serious about making money you can’t skip this step.
Appsumo - The best option we found out there (value = money wise). That price is GOAT + got info from valuable sources that the solution itself works wonders.
Neverbounce - More expensive, does the job it’s supposed to.
Payments
Stripe - Not much to say here.
Paypal - Not much to say here.
Landing Page
Webflow - The best one in our opinion - worth an extra few $.
Carrd - Does the job and it’s cheap.
What is in this article should be enough to get you started. You will also need an outreach domain and domain for your landing page.
A few honorable mentions you'll need
Domains (Google, NameCheap, GoDaddy)
Calls (Zoom, Google Meet)
Client communication (Slack)
Contracts (Docsend or DocuSign)
CRM (Close)
To wrap up the tech stack part we would recommend reading the article below which goes much deeper on specifics you will need.
