What do you think about today's culture, where a lot of people are into "self-improvement", but in reality don't do anything to improve their lives. I've found that talking about that stuff makes people think you are some sort of guru or bound to be successful. Not that the opinions of those types of people matter too much though...
Self-improvement = mental masturbation in most cases. This is where this comment could end and you would be able to understand everything. The line between the two is thin and most people don't want it. The real ones often keep it for themselves.
